License guide
3D models are shared under licenses that say what you're allowed to do — print, modify, or sell. Here's what the common ones mean. When you upload, pick the license that matches how you want your work used. When you download, always respect the creator's license.

Attribution (CC BY)
CC-BY-4.0Do anything — just credit the creator.
Use, modify, remix, and sell — including commercially — as long as you give credit to the original designer.
Attribution-ShareAlike (CC BY-SA)
CC-BY-SA-4.0Credit + share remixes under the same license.
Like CC BY, but anything you make from it (remixes, modifications) must be shared under this same license. Commercial use allowed.
Attribution-NonCommercial (CC BY-NC)
CC-BY-NC-4.0Credit + personal use only (no selling).
Use, modify, and remix with credit — but NOT for commercial purposes. You can't sell the prints or the files.
Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike
CC-BY-NC-SA-4.0Credit, non-commercial, share remixes alike.
Personal use only, must credit, and any remixes must use this same license. Common on MakerWorld/Printables.

You can use and share the file as-is (with credit), but you may NOT modify or remix it. Commercial use of the unchanged file is allowed.
